What makes a lending app legal
A legal online lender in the Philippines needs all three. If any one is missing, be careful.
SEC Registration Number
Proof the company legally exists as a business in the Philippines. Every legitimate lender has one.
Certificate of Authority
The separate permit that lets a company actually lend money. Registration alone is not enough.
OLP recording
The specific app is recorded with the SEC as an online lending platform of that company.
Independent. Not a lender.
